We understand how important the quality of your headshot is to your career.  We have been shooting actors headshots in London for over 10 years and have developed a close relationship with Spotlight, which has enhanced our understanding of what a good headshot should be and we adhere strictly to industry standards. A good headshot should include the top of your head and part of your shoulders, usually to just below the collarbone. Any more than this and it will look more like a portrait than a headshot. You should be facing the camera more or less directly and your eyes should be looking into the camera. There should be no other distracting elements – hands, bright patterns, props etc. We only use plain, non-descript backdrops, as obvious brick walls and leafy backgrounds will date very quickly.  We aim to give every actor a completely tailored headshot session and place emphasis on the fact that no two headshot sessions are ever the same.  With all our headshot sessions we make sure that you get lots of variety, using different lighting setups, backdrops and a number of outfit changes. Each individual headshot setup will be described and discussed with you in detail, which allows you to develop natural reactions and expressions during the shoot, altering your mood and intensity as we move through the different setups.

The longer session (1.5 hours) allows time for some additional shots that you may need, e.g. full-length, character or commercial shots. However, if you are looking for a range of different styles as well as your acting headshots then one of our portfolio sessions may suit you better.  Our actors headshot packages include within the price all of your images to keep in high resolution digital files, without any extra costs. Every actors headshot session with us will also include all of your headshots in colour as well as black and white, as the use of colour headshots is becoming now more common and is required for the US market.  We use only the best full-frame digital cameras, quality lighting and highest grade lenses for our sessions and your headshots are processed on the the most advanced software available.  After the session we send you a link to download all your headshots in high res, colour and black & white (a CD is also available upon request). These are yours to keep, and you then get back to us with your selection.  We then retouch your selection and send you your 10×8″ prints along with your retouched digital files.
